AMKENI is a community based organization with its headquarters in Malindi, Kilifi County, Kenya. We work with and offer services to the Gender and Sexual Diverse population as well as Sex Workers.
AMKENI was founded in November 2009 as a support group for MSM (Men who Have Sex With Men) MSW (Male Sex Workers) and was officially registered as a CBO in March 2013, tasked to create a safe space for Gender and Diverse population and Sex Workers to provide or link them to access to low cost social, legal and health services including psychosocial and mental health support.
